About Dhamma Nāga
Dhamma Nāga, meaning ‘Dhamma among Nāgas’ (Nāgas: residents of the area, Nāga is an epithet for Buddha, symbolizing strength), was established in 1997 approximately 20kms from the central Indian city of Nagpur, near the village of Mahurzari on Katol Road. Developed on 20 acres of quiet and serene land on the bank of a small lake, the centre accommodates about 50 male and 50 female students.
DhammaNaga is established with Honorable Vipassana Teacher Shri Goenkaji’s blessings.
Directions
Dhamma Naga is situated approximately 16 kms from Nagpur at village Mahurzari on the bank of small lake. Nagpur with a population of over 4 million is right in the geographical and communication centre of India.
Nagpur city is well connected to other Indian cities by air, rail and road. Dhamma Naga is around 15 kilometers away from Nagpur Railway Station. One can reach the centre by driving approximately 12 kms from Nagpur Railway Station on Katol road and take a right turn before village Fetri. About 2.5 kms further the meditation centre is visible.
Students are advised to go to the centrally located city office by noon on the course starting day at following address as bus service is provided to take students to the center and bring them back on the last day.
